FLM 02: The Future of Hyper-Local City Guides

Announcing our next Future of Local Media Salon Series, The Future of Hyper-Local City Guides.

Traditionally, local city guides have been created and utilized specifically for the promotion and exploration of local places and businesses (Bars, Clubs, Events, Shops etc.). While local has always played an important role in the distribution of media, the landscape from which this media is both promoted and consumed is changing rapidly. As more people and businesses use the web to expand their presence on the local level, will newer nimble web services replace conventional advertising outlets as a less costly, transparent, more customer-centric alternative?

Please join us on Tuesday, August 25th as four panelists discuss the future of local city guides. Come out to learn from and network with other Local Media Makers. We hope to see you there!
